Very nice choice look just like mine. Looks like you also have a shiny new truck for it as well.

Had ours for a year now. Loving every trip. Looks like Berryland is selling the mess out of that model.

Yep, love it. Towed with the Tahoe for one season. Plenty of power, but the short wheel base makes it squirrelly. Use an F250 now which is overkill.

What engine and size? My wife is looking at a tahoe possibly to replace her trailblazer. She's looking at the short wheelbased version. I think it is the 5.3 v8

I think it's a 5.4. Plenty of horsepower. Towed well, just a little wagging when eighteen wheelers passed us. Ours is a 2012. They made a tow package for those years that added a lower gear and a transmission fluid cooler. Ours did not have those. I bought an auxiliary transmission cooler, but never installed because I bought the F250. Trans temps got to the 220 range at times. The 3.08 gears also kept it from getting into OD. If you're gonna tow with it, I'd suggest getting the Suburban, longer wheelbase, and make sure it has the tow package with gears and cooler.

No we were not going to tow with it, have my 1500 for that. I guess just more an fyi in case we are in a jam. Thanks, BTW my trans is in the 150 to 200 range when towing with the coolers and heavy tow package so I take that it is normal?....

From what I understand at or under 200 is ideal. The higher temps won't kill it short term, but higher temps mean you need to change fluid more often. It will definitely handle the 26dbh as a backup. You'll feel the difference, but after a few white knuckles with the eighteen wheelers, I got more confident with it. Didn't think I'd enjoy it for a 1,000 mile trip though.

How's she holding up Bradlo? I'm hoping with care and maintenance ours will still look new for years down the road.

She has held up great. Just a few minor things really. I just put new tires on today. Apparently the ones that came with the camper were the cheapest of the cheap. It's a 2013 28bh we bought in 2012.

What tires did ya go with? I'm considering looking for 15" LTs just for a higher speed rating.
