Running Solar Cable From Roof to Battery

I have a 2012 255P Limited. We want to run cabling from two solar panels that will go in the roof and down to the battery and the controller. I'm sure this has been answered a thousand times, but I haven't found those answers yet.
What is the path for the cable to get from the box on the roof, down to the controller and then to the battery?

We are thinking about running it next to the vent pipe for the toilet and through what we believe is a hollow wall. If there is a better way, could you please inform us how it is done.

Much appreciative of any answers. Thanks.

If that wall is hollow and it's accessible both top and bottom then that sounds like a good idea.

A lot of people run the solar cables down through the fridge channel, so they don't have to penetrate the roof. That gets them bottom access without drilling any holes.

Hi,

I couldn't find a hollow wall to safely try drilling down into from the roof. So I drilled a small hole in the side of my black tank vent up on the roof, another slightly larger hole in the vent tube down in basement where I could reach it, and fished from top to bottom. Pulled all the wire, sealed the holes up and was ready to finish off the wiring.

FWIW.

How did you mount the panels on the roof?
Do you have pics?
I didn't even get the thing yet and I'm thinking about mods
