Slide out stuck out!
My son saw a wire coming out from under the slide out and decided to pull it. Ugh! Now only half of the slide out will move. It is stuck out. What I was wondering is how do you manually crank it open or closed?
Can you take the front of the couch off and see if we can put this wire back ourselves?
We read the manual and it says you can crank the slide out but it does not tell where this manual crank housing would be located. We have a 2013 Cherokee Grey Wolf. 28BH
Thanks!

My manual crank is located behind the steps at the front door, not sure if yours will be in the same place. Good luck!

the track should be at the top and bottom of the sides of the slide. if so, it is a schwintek in wall slideout. locate the controller and check the wires and plugs.

Im4 said his son ripped the wire off, so we know what the problem is.
Im4, can you see where the wire came from, and trace it so you can reattach it?

We can see where the wire came from and goes to but we cannot reach it either way. It goes under the couch and we do not know if we can take the front of the couch off. My husband is afraid to pull to hard on it. He doesn't want to break something.

Well, if you want to go camping, you need to do something!
Maybe start a new thread with the make of your camper in the title, and the word "HELP".
Surely someone here has a similar model. The rest of us are just guessing.
Good luck.

Wow, got any mechanic friends? Just guessing here but if cables are used you can search for Schwintek slide mechanisms on line, they have some good troubleshooting/repair info posted. All the best
Repeat of advice from other thread. I've since watched videos from Schwintek, they will help you, exact process of reaching motor (hidden)

We did it!
My husband was able to get the front of the couch off and hook the wires back up. The slide out now works. Yea! We get to go camping in the rain! He was so excited that he figured it out. Thanks to everyone for your help! It is really appreciated!

On my 2012 27BHKS the slide controller is located under the couch. You have to gently pry the large decorative buttons off of the front of the padded skirt and the screws are located under the buttons. Remove the three screws and then the couch skirt will come off.
At least you know what is wrong with yours, I'm still waiting on the dealer to get back with me about possibly replacing a bad motor. I'm hoping Lippert will stand behind it.
