Sticker residue
I am trying to get the sticker residue off of the front of my camper. For some reason, Forest River felt the need to put about 5 of them across the front. Any ideas of how to get the sticky residue off? I tried simple green and that didn't work and then I tried a magic eraser and that put a ton of nice little scratches in the fiberglass...not happy at all right now. Any suggestions?

Use GoofOff. Pre-test it on an inconspicuous piece but it shouldn't cause any problems. Keep using clean parts of a rag with more product as it gets on the rag so you have to keep moving to clean working area with more product.

I took about 50% of the stickers/graphics off ours when we brought it home. I used "GOO GONE". got it at the dollar store.Used a couple micro fiber towels so they wouldnt scratch it.

Give WD-4O a try...it works great for that purpose !

Will a good wax remove the little scuffs in the fiberglass from the magic eraser? I can't feel the scuffs but they are visible to the eye

No.Your going to need to use polishing compound on a wheel.McGuires has products that will work.

If you are going to try WD40,save your $ and get a can of lighter fluid,its mostly naptha and some high distallates,just like WD 40,and it has a squirt nozzel!

What ever you use,do it with a MICRO FIBER rag to help eliminate the possibility of more scratching.

x2 on the WD-40. We pulled all our stickers off and this is what we used for easy glue removal.

To remove the glue... Goof off, Stoner's Tarminater, Carpro Tar X, and/or clay bar. If it's really thick, I thin it out with a plastic razor blade first.
To remove the scratches... Should be able to get away with hand polishing since it is confined to a small area of the trailer. Your local auto parts store should carry compound and polish. To be as safe as possible, use this on a foam wax applicator and rub in a circular motion. Use pressure as needed.
I detail for a living and see several cars a year that had a magic eraser treatment.

Just buy a can of acetone. No elbow grease, erasers, mico this or that. Very low smell, unlike lighter fluid. No residue. Apply with paper towel and your done.

There are several good products in a tube that work well to remove small scratches. One I have used on my Corvette (fiberglass) and my Ram is "Scratch Doctor" with excellent results. Just experiment a bit by using light pressure when rubbing in a circular motion and you'll be pleased with the results! Rewax after you repair the scratches and you'll be good as new.

I also use WD-40. The new Catalina 253 RKS had www.coachman.com/rv on the back I had to remove it... Looked Terrible. Also removed all the dealer stickers.

Goo Gone let is soak for a minute or two.
The magic eraser is a marketing genius. It is really nothing more than a scrubbing pad with a fancy name which somehow transforms it into a unique cleaning product. I do not recommend using it anywhere you would not use a scrub pad.

Make sure to apply a wax to wherever WD40 was used...the WD40 will have stripped away any wax that was there previously.
WD40 also works great to remove any tar you may encounter in your travels.
