Touch Audio on Grey Wolf 28BH

Just thought i'd throw this out there. I searched for answer's about the radio but im finding so many mixed answer's. I have the Touch Audio on my 2012 28BH and I had the dealer install the 24" TV because there was not one in there. The TV they installed is a 24" LCD with a DVD built in. (Have to take the TV off the mount to put a DVD in) A lot of people are saying the Touch Audio is am/fm/cd/dvd??? I dont think mine has DVD in the Touch Audio. Am I wrong here? I have not tried putting a DVD in it but it doesnt say DVD anywhere on it. It does have AUX on it and that is what I use to play my Ipod.

Did they offer different Touch Audio's in all of these TT's?

Thanks!
Blake

I have the Touch Audio in my 2012 Grey Wolf 19RR. It plays both CD's and DVD's. I would bet it is the same as yours.

Tested it out and it definitely plays DVD's. Good ol dealership.. Not sure why they installed a 24" LCD that has a DVD player built into the side of it too. Guess it will be fine playing DVD's mounted outside the camper. Not sure I will EVER be putting the tv outside though.

And I know how you Hawkeye fans are...PROUD! lol... I love the Hawkeyes and im not bashing you in any way. I was born in Iowa and live in Illinois now. Hawkeye fans are the most loyal (probably since they dont have pro football) and the whole state is a fan! Very cool. Only other state that reminds me of that is Pennsylvania w/Penn State. Lived in NEPA for a few years and holy cow are they Penn State lovers!

My Touch works as stated BUT - only has stereo at the outside station and the A and B switches are for the MONO speakers inside. "A" switch turns the front speaker on/off (near the entertainment system, and "B" will turn om/off the speaker in the rear living area. Why is stereo not available (other than there are ONLY those two speakers). I also hve not been able to get the VIDEO feed (not the antenna feed, which does function) to get a video signal to the outside station (audio does work from a DVD, just no video). Anybody have any ideas on any of the above mentioned problems?

BigJohn... I havent tried mine outdoors but if you think about it.. you only have one coax (cable), and 1 RCA.. That RCA is only going to be able to do either audio or video. Not both. It will all depend on what it is plugged into behind the radio. My guess would be it is audio but I dont know. Like I said I havent tried mine.

If It is hooked up as audio, those speakers outside would have to be in parallel off of only one channel (actually half of a ch..right or left). I'll have to try it this weekend and post an update.

I may just rewire mine all together and put audio/video and true stereo..outside

It is supposed to be wired (RCA is video from DVD and coax is antenna signal) this means audio from DVD would come from DVD player to outside speakers and audio from antenna through tv speakers.

I didn't even get to try the Touch Audio unit, it was swapped with a Jensen before our PDI since I made it clear I knew it was a "troubled" brand. Mine was the 5th one she changed that week...

I have the Jensen also. My touch audio lasted about one month. If you have a outdoor ent hookup I hope the dealer put a splitter on the video output. The Jensen only has one output. Other then that it's been a great unit.

BlakeB and Lonewolfcry - I DO get stereo sound from the Touch DVD but NO video signal to the RCA at the outside station. Coax works fine from the antenna and tv works fine outside. Just wish the RCA video feed worked as it should. Still have not removed the Touch to see what/why neither inside is stereo (only one speaker for A and B switch). I need to find out if I can get wires run through the ceiling for another speaker at each position (one front, one rear). I just do not think there is an easy way to get a "fish" to get the wire(s) run. Maybe if I use on of the other wire runs from the other speaker I can pull it back to origin then pull it back with cord attached to the speaker end (done before I pull it back to source). Hope this makes sense in the narrative.

Fixed the video problem-loose connector on back of Touch. Stereo sound still a problem inside.
