Yahooo it worked! It worked perfectly. The only thing we need to "fix" is make the hole between the cabinet and the swivel cabinet bigger - so we don't have to fish a wire down the hole in order to plug the tv back in when we bring it back inside. Geeze lol. I'll have to look for a spare power cord, that would be easier.

I removed the TOUCH AUDIO and found the video RCA was disconnected. Plugged it back in and wonder of wonders - SUCCESS! Now TV (electronic) will function outside. Kind of cool to watch a movie while doing BBQ. Just have to keep the volume down or neighbors will want some chicken and beer!

While we are on the subject, my TV is 12v, but it uses a transformer from 110v. There is no 12v receptacle on the TT or adapter for using 12v for my TV. Am I missing something? How do you watch your TV while using battery power?

I installed an inverter to convert 12VDC to 120VAC.

Then ran circuit to a dedicated outlet for outside TV viewing.

I did the same inside so I can use the inverter to run the entertainment system.

Looks good Herk! I know I can do what you did or put in a 12v system (tap off the power antenna with a 12v socket) and buy an adapter for the TV, but it amazes me that they didn't do it at the factory. Why furnish a 12v TV and not provide a way to run it on 12v. I just ran a 12v system to run a couple of fans when we are boondocking and to also power a camera system so I can see the inside of the trailer when we tow (motorcycles in a toy hauler).

The TV and all the entertainment system components (like computers, USB drives and chargers for phones and iPad) are connected to the surge strip. The surge strip is then plugged into the GFCI duples when on show power and into the inverter duplex whe we run on the batteries.

I have a built in DVD player on my outside tv. It is on a swivel bracket on the basement. The family loves to watch movies outside by the fire.!
