Water pump not priming

I have a 2018 grey wolf 27dbs. Just today the water pump won’t stop, and when it does an I turn on water pump won’t keep up. Then the pump cycles every 3-4 minutes. The fresh water tank full. No leaks underneath. And checked all the water taps

Maybe someone accidentally bumped the antifreeze/winterizing valve and your pump is sucking a little air through it.

Is your water heater full? Filling it can take a long time and take away pressure.

We had a similar problem with our 27dbs in that after 6 months, all the sudden, the pump would not stop. Still got ok pressure, but pump would not shut off. Water tanks full, no air suction, hot water tank full.

When it would keep running, I would tap on the pressure switch on the pump with pliers and it would shut off. It started with an occasional run-on, then got to where it would run-on all the time. The pressure switch was bad. Brand is Artix PDS3B-130-1260E. Never heard of that brand so I just ordered a sureflo pump and replaced it.

Sounds like a plan. Oh, one quick thing you could check if you wanted is the filter screen to make sure it is not clogged. The filter is connected to the inlet side of the pump.

I checked it it’s clear. I was hoping something simple. He thinks it’s the pump or parts in the pump

Pump

We have the same issue ...3rd trip out and the Artix pump continued to run then stopped completely... Unfortunate issue with a new camper ...sounds like a bad batch of pumps...

I talked to my dealer an when I got mine to his place to look at. It started working fine...go figure. He said it wasn’t uncommon for some debris to make the pump not prime, especially on a new trailer

Fix

Good day, I had an issue of the pump not automatically priming. it would just run. there were no blockages. I had to put the water hose on the antifreeze connection, open the inline valve and the water will prime the pump. (I had my water pump running when I did it and once it was primed it stopped running.) stop your hose, disconnect it, switch your inline valve back to tank and everything worked great after that.

I hope it helps.
