Wolf Pup 2019 - Additional Storage

After seeing a few people do the mod to allow for additional storage under the dinette seats I decided to give it a go.

First was popping out the front panel under both seats (it's just stapled in), which left an unfinished inside now visible:

To finish of the inside I bought some 5.2mm 2' x 2' plywood from Lowes and measured, cut, and stained to match the dark color of the other wood in the camper.

You'll see it doesn't reach all the way to the camper wall but you'd have to get down on your hands and knees to look that far in to see it unfinished in the back.

The seat by the bunks is a little different because it has the wheel well and bunk wall going all the way down to the floor. Removing the front panel also removed a support in the corner for the seat so I put piece of wood there to add support.

Finished product. We intend to put a storage bin in the back and shoes near the front. I also drilled a hole in the plywood top to provide a place to reach in and lift up the wood if we still need to access the area from the top.

Looks nice. Easy to throw your shoes into.
I'm surprised your wood bench tops did not have lift holes in them already, mine did.
