Wolf Pup Awning issue

First time I tried to adjust the angle of my awning, the one side will NOT move. I even removed the cheesy two stop buttons held with a V of metal on that arm. No go. Going to spray lube and work it when it stops raining. Going to replace the cheap retainer buttons with hitch pin clips once the get it to work.
The awning mounting channel was hap-hazardly screwed into the exterior wall, many screws at an angle. Reminds me of all the interior overtorqued screws buckling interior panels.
