Wolf Pup TV antenna

I mounted a TV in my 16bhs a few weeks ago and hooked it up to the stock rooftop antenna. The TV got about 2 channels and sometimes they would fade out. Normally I can get a dozen channels easy from my location. To test the TV and antenna I purchased a cheap set of rabbit ears... they are about 2 feet long and hooked them up outside using the outside wall Coax hookup. Even with the rabbit ears set only a few feet off the ground the TV was able to scan the dozen normal channels and they all worked perfectly. This means at least the coax from that jack to the one inside is connected. Do you think my rooftop antenna is not hooked up or have any of you noticed the stock antennas don't work worth a damn?

I just purchased a 2017 CHEROKEE 274VFK, MY PREVIOUS TT picked up a bunch, this one barely picks up any. I checked the inside connections and they were loose, haven't tried to get on the roof yet to check them, but plan on it soon,

Get rid of the Omni directional antenna. King jack is the way to go.

That's what I've been reading, there are a bunch of different models of King Jack, which one is the best.

Also, make sure your antenna booster switch is on.

and where would that be if I had one? I looked in the cupboard below the antenna and nada. No literature on my trailer having a booster.

Little push button on the t.v. coaxial connection. It should have a light that lights up when on.

I'll have to check that out. I can't believe that I missed a button there when I plugged the cable in but I probably did.

By golly that was the problem. With the power booster on the TV gets the same channels. I wonder if when it is off it it blocks with connection to the antenna?

Thanks for pointing out that I am an idiot and overlooked that I have a power booster.

The dealer should have shown you this, during the PDI.
Who knows what else they failed to go over.

They might have. It was 9 months between the PDI and my installing a TV.

If you hook up to cable you will need to make sure the booster is off.

I live in San Diego and couldn't pick up any local channels in my driveway with "flying saucer" antenna that came with the unit (with or without the booster turned on). Still looking for a good antenna.

antenna blew off 325pack13

Got a new 2017 Wolfpack 325pack13 in April, Tv did pick up 20 0r so h def channels when we took it out the first weekend. A month later same area and no channels would pick up. Got home got on a latter to check antenna and it was gone. Only thing there was the mount and it was pulled halfway out with big gap under the caulking and screws showing. Dealer said wind damage not under warranty. Any one else had this issue,

A time or two I've seen where roof mounted antennas have come off when left extended.
Never experienced it myself though.

Or maybe a limb?

I'd imagine it was left up. The best I've seen was someone pulling out of the campground with their awning extended out. How you miss that one, no clue.
