Given the context of this thread, will you also post the individual axle loads versus their rated loads?

Brian I apologize as that's definitely not what we want to happen. Your willingness to post here and engage in discussions is a breathe of fresh air.

I won’t be staying 2k over.
But, as my first weigh scale picture shows... I have no choice but to be overweight by some number.
How much, depends on what I can get rid of.
No wife, no kids..

I don’t get it. Why 10 ply tires and put a Dana S110 axle rated at 15k.
A few facts.
The axle will handle the load.
The tires will not.
The tires have handled everything just fine, as I’ve put 10k miles on it since March.
TPMS shows acceptable temps and pressure rise.
The 17.5 are the same overall diameter as the stock.
No changes needed.

Thanks Kenny for the real life example. Although I think I have only about 500 lbs of gear (I am still estimating it). And with the weight you are moving currently, I believe you stated that the unit handles just fine, so appears suspension seems to be working out well.

No worries...I'm not going anywhere, but I know a lot of reps that don't post for this exact reason, things taken out of context, paraphrasing, or generalizations made into hard fact. I've never been shy about speaking my mind and I am a firm believer, if you do the right thing you never have to defend yourself. Just speak the truth. So when my motives are questioned, that's when I am likely to overreact.

Your willingness to "speak the truth" shows your motivation is to build an outstanding product. There are as you have explained numerous times, trade offs that have to be made to satisfy customer's demands.
Case in point I like the CCC and size of the Isata 4 25FW. My wife on the other hand will not compromise on having the dinette and couch (not one or the other). So it is the 31DS for me.
You presence on this forum is a selling feature for Dynamax and a big motivator in my choice in an RV (in the spring of 2018 ).

Don't forget the 30FW 5 Series. Same basic floor plan as the 25FW, but with sofa and dinette.

Sorry I am such a Ford guy (although my son just purchased a Dodge Ram ) I might have dismissed the Isata 5 prematurely. It may also solve the lack of leg room for the passenger on the E-450 . I will definitely keep that in mind when we consider our options. Thanks

Looking back to my younger days I recall many times I'd take my pickup truck out into the woods, cut and load a bunch of firewood, drive many miles back home, and as long as the rear axle didn't touch the bump stop on the frame when we were loading we never considered the truck to be "overloaded".
Didn't realize that a cord of wood weighed about 4,000 lbs and grossly overloaded the truck, we just did it. Was amazing what one could do with an old GMC Pickup. I mean "early 50's old".

One small consolation. If you tow a vehicle down on all four the tongue weight won't be much.

Sure your sticker may say you have 2000 lbs ccc..
But, you only have 200lbs till the rear axle is over.
Going to put that 1800lbs in the front bunk to put some weight on the front axle?
Nope. All the storage is in the rear.

My DX3 is rated for 33K lbs but actual weight, fully loaded, is 27K lbs. 9 on the front and 18 on the back axel. It is well under capacity and balanced. I use 80psi air in all tires instead of 110 as listed on the tires for better wear and ride.

I should hope you would have 3k left on the rear axle, given the 20k lb towing rating.

Kenny,
Here's how I look at it. If you've done your homework on the axle and suspension, and are confident of the ratings, go ahead and get the better tires and wheels. You don't need the permission and/or blessing of anyone here.
I'll tell ya, the better wheels and tires won't hurt anything except possibly the ride quality. If it gives you additional peace of mind, its probably money well spent.
As far as the CCC goes, it was one of the main reasons I moved to a Super C in general and a Dynamax in particular. I think that yellow sticker shows 8800 lbs on mine, I have tires rated for more than enough from the factory, but if the margin was as thin as your situation I'd do the tire upgrade and not look back.
You should've seen the look on the dealer's face when I mentioned the solar and inverter changes I had planned before the first trip... He thought I was crazy, but in the end its my rig, not his.

17.5 tires
Great advice.
Trim some fat, slap on some 17.5’s and rock on!
That will tide me over till I get my super c.
There’s really no other options. Can’t empty the rig.
Good discussion everyone!
Brian.. I still love ya! [emoji8]
I think the guys at the factory were pretty shocked at the “ tinkering” I had done in the 3 months I owned it!

Marty McFly: Wait a minute, Doc, are you trying to tell me that my mother has got the hots for me?
Dr. Emmett Brown: Precisely.
Marty McFly: Whoa, this is heavy.
Dr. Emmett Brown: There's that word again; "heavy." Why are things so heavy in the future?
It was all about the dynamax! MIND BLOWN!!!
