Two questions:

1) Slide does not work with engine running (ebrake engaged) - is this correct?

2) when I disconnect the chassis ground under the driver side dashboard, the power only momentarily turns off, then comes back on. I hear a relay click somewhere back in the coach. If I turn on the ignition, the chassis power goes off and stays off.
More info: I do follow the manual and wait 10 minutes before pulling the ground, I do disconnect the coach batteries before I pull the chassis ground, and I do have solar (factory installed)

What is the problem you are experiencing or are you just experimenting with the electrical setup?

Chassis master shut off isn't working, there is a weak ground connection still allowing a circuit.
