18 Isata 5 DB

Posting this for Brian or anyone else that can help, I am considering an 18 Isata 35DB and had a few questions. Are there any pictures of the outside storage compartments? They appear to have a portion that extends above further back. Is the divider between the back bedroom and bunks still an according style door? Do you have any pictures of the inside with the slides closed? Are there curtains over the bunk and front bunk? Has the toilet flush issue been corrected?

Thanks for the help!

Vince

1. We did not take any specifically. But The very first unit on RV trader is one from Longhorn RV and it shows the storage compartments open. You can see where the box steps up over the frame and continues on as full pass through.
2. yes. no change there.
3. yes there are curtains.
4. I think someone posted pictures with the slides in. You can still get around.
5. I didn't know there was an issue with the toilet flush. Its a macerator.

I have looked for pics of the inside closed but couldn't find any, do you have a link to any? The toilet issue was about the sensor I believe. Thanks!

We're just prepping for our dealer show. If I get to one in time I'll try and snap some shots.

Thanks! I noticed the outside TV was moved from the back slide to the front. Was that to place it under the awning?

Brian one other question, we looked at a Four Winds 35 SB before purchasing the Isata. We loved the floor plan, disliked the fit/finish/quality. Any reason you guys didn't do a similar floor plan? I was curious about the huge slide that ran the length of the unit.

I love that floor plan when open. The reason we didn't build it like that is because the bunks are NOT usable with the slide in. I helped design the Sunseeker 3170 and the whole point was to make that a usable space while in transit. So we based the 35DB off of that instead.

I just did a week in a 3170 and my youngest sat back there the entire trip when traveling. After a long hike, he closed the curtain and slept. Early morning trips, he popped in a movie and watched in transit.

PLUS, when you do a kitchen slide, it can only be 18" deep (to slide out the LP and plumbing). Makes it a little tight still even when opened. 36[40" deep slide gives you more floor space when opened up.

I know there was a small opening to the bunks with the side in, good for a small kid but no big kids or adults I guess... lol

Also, no seat belts on theirs. We have seatbelts in that lower sofa.

I do like the lower sofa, much better use of the space.
