2018 Force HD Mods......So Far.
I thought I would post some of the modifications I have started, long list to go, but if I post as I get time it will take less time.
1. Added under-sink water filter from Amazon, added a strap to keep it from unscrewing itself on bumpy roads. Added a new Delta Faucet too
2. Changed clearance lights to clear LED, blend in better with the beautiful paint job
3. Added shelves to all of the cabinets, behind the bedroom TV, over the sink, simple plywood with a speaker enclosure type carpet.
4. we had discussed the ladder bracket and the wood door. I added a piece of sticky felt, seemed to help. I had the same felt to the back of all the pull down blinds, really quiets them on each other and from rattling on the window.

Last set for now.
1. Kind of a dark picture, I cut down a bambo file rack, added felt backing. Nice storage rack for the sink top covers.
2. Changed the access hole for the electric cord, this hatch has rollers underneath, makes it much easier to pull that big cord back and forth.
3. added 12v bunk fans
4. New black ceramic coated exhaust tip, love this one, helps with the stealth look.
Working on raising the hitch as we speak, should have it done tonight, I think 3.5-4" total height increase.

Clear with Red and Clear with Amber, they have a nice foam washer too

I did the black Delta faucet, but I really like that it has a magnetic head, helps when travelling, the huge weight on the hose will bang the cabinet wall so I added a piece of 1 1/2" foam behind it.

Lastly the cord hatch. It has a nice mouse hole for the cord and the rollers are the best part, only takes 4 screws to put it all together.

Filter if anyone is interested. I know I read about this filter on this forum somewhere. I figured two in house filters should make my coffee taste better.

Other things I have done are mainly because I overthink everything. I used a silver silicone caulk, caulked all outside bins where the plastic meets the metal, helps cut down on dust and water.

Sweet thanks! And nice work.
Also don’t call it a mouse hole. You’re giving me PTSD

Sorry about that. LOL.
I took some of that Kaizen foam I have used in the past, cut them round and added a hole that is tight around the cord. When we camp for more than a day I put them on to keep anything out from that little gap. I made covers for the big arms under the living room slide too, those are big holes for something to go in.

You've got an awesome list going. I love that cord mod and the 12V bunk fans...my girls say it gets pretty hot in the bunks with the curtains pulled, so we've been looking for something like that.

The fans are from Amazon too, Hella makes them. They are very light which is what I like, 2 speeds. I wired them to the power/ground on the DVD players.

Yeah my kids said it gets warm in there. I bought the clip on ones (fans) so we can move them around, I actually used one in master instead of A/C.
Halla I'm bringing a note pad and pen when I see your rig

The red ones at the top of the cap?
I have clear ones for the brake lights, not sure of the manufacturer and I have the third brake light coming today/tomorrow, same company I think you sourced them from (Command Electronics?).
I will check the top of the cap too, would be nice to get clear ones up there too.
Raised the hitch last night, holy cow that is a lot of work. Gained 4" total height, have to cut the tabs off now.

Yes. We found clear for the brake lights....but the circuit board is too easy to see and ugly. They had talked about cleaning it up or making it reflective to hide the circuit board (bullseye effect), but we have not seen it.

I will have to see if I did a before picture. My dad started the project before I got to storage, he likes to take on the big projects, lol. Let me see what I can find. Plus someone else posted on here not to long ago about doing the hitch mod, I just cant remember who.
The only snag, the brackets that are welded to the frame are tapered down the front, so in order to raise the hitch, you have to cut some of that bracket off, then I am cutting the bottom of the brackets off. I am moving my 7 way electric plug over to the hole closer to the receiver. I have a small 1/2" of fiberglass to cut off so it doesn't rub.
The hardest part was drilling the thick steel, but my dad seemed to like that part. The hitch is heavy and the there are two bolts total that are a lot larger than the other 6.
Took one evening, I have to touch up the paint from where we "used excessive force" and bolt it up with some threadlock.

Yes, they are grade 5, they are in good shape. They have to be strong enough if Freightliner used them when they installed it.

Can you post pics please?
Did you drill all new holes for the relocation?
If so, did you just go as close to the cap as possible?

I will get pics tomorrow after work, going to finish bolting her up and cutting the bottom tabs off. I raised the hitch up until the mounting plates hit the frame. Will get those pics too. Drilled all 8 new holes. Sorry I couldnt get the pics tonight, had an event tonight.
