Put me on the waitlist for F!

Auto correct, strikes again. What he meant to type for F was...
"buy bclemens a bottle and he'll pretend to fix it for you"

Well that sounds even more realistic, albeit less magical

We had an issue on our Thor, tool off the strut and put a bumper with a hold open hook. I would do the same on Force, but the door would block a window. I may try to come up with something that would protect the camera though.

Dr Safety,

While I agree with Phillos3, "f) put bclemens in a bottle, rub the bottle, and see if he pops out so he can fix it for you." If bclemens is not compliant, you have the right idea.

Specifically, what I had in mind was a
"storm door stop spring chain" or "door crash chain" as shown on this Walmart link
https://www.walmart.com/search/?query=storm door chain&cat_id=1072864
It looks like this

I share the concern with the door. I bought a crash chain setup and was unable to use it because of the screen door. So, bought a flat strap type dog leash and wrapped the ends around the metal chain mount tabs that came with the crash chain, two screws holds it to the top of the door, but had to take out the mount tab at the door jamb end due to too thick and interference keeping the screen from closing. Right now there are two flush screws through a doubled end of the strap at the door jamb end and two through an end looped over a metal tab at the door end. It looks similar to the pic of the paracord but with a black strap. It catches the door before the shock strut does but time will tell how durable it will be. It works with screen and door moving together or door open and screen moving by itself. I snapped a couple of pictures but it was almost dark and didn't show up well. I will take a pic this weekend.

I worked in a business that had substantial outside doors that when caught by the wind would be ripped out of peoples hands. These doors had heavy duty hinges and they broke. The metal in the doors was damaged. We had the door chains installed, they helped but not totally. When I replaced those damaged doors I had full length piano hinges installed. Had to replace them every year. That worked but the doors sould still "sail." The only viable solution was to install sliding doors so they would not be open to the wind.

I can't see any production motorhome having a door anywhere near as substantial as what I had at my entrance. I can envision a sliding door.

No this should not be "part of the journey". Same thing happened to us with isata 3, hole in door but camera OK. Bad design

Well..
If your car door flies open because of the wind does it hit your front quarter panel or bang your side mirror off your door...I don't think so..

Actually.... If you look at a lot of new wranglers a lot of them all have a dent on the cowl right behind the hood above the fender from exactly this.

Albeit usually from careless removal with the retainer straps removed but still similar nonetheless. Thought all the other wrangler owners may be able to relate!

Consider the mass/weight of a car door vs. an RV door. To have RV doors of sufficient strength to be rarely affected by eind would result in a huge loss of CCC and interior width.

How can any manufacturer expect and prepare for all Acts of God? If one isn't prepared to hold the door vs the wind, then maybe they shouldn't open it. After all, you wouldn't blame the manufacturer for poor circulation in your coach if, after you and your wife have a farting contest while playing the Dueling Banjo tune, it smells to high heaven.

OK, That may be the reason so many RVs have Fantastic fans.

And I see you are from CA; those "emissions" come East so please kerp the windows up and the fans off.

The only reason we didn't buy a Jeep years ago was because of the free swinging door issue. I saw calamity in my future.

Ours broke at 20 mph wind. It's still new but good idea having a spare.
