I had to recalibrate the "zero point" on my Lippert Power Gear levelers because the Auto function from the factory thought the rear was too low even when manually leveled. I use a ball as a double check on the phone's Bubble Level app and it would not roll in any direction.
The recalibration procedure says to manually lower the jacks on a level surface until they just touch and then raise the coach about 3".
That told me, rightly or wrongly, that the jack's should not be carrying a lot of the load so I bought twelve of the Quality Plastic pads and now try to get it level before dropping the jacks. I just put them under the tires, not under my SnapPads.
Obviously I have no idea what happened here but I have stopped letting the Jack's extend very far, which I used to do.
Humm, in re-reading what I wrote I'm now wondering if I should in fact put an equal number of Quality Plastics pads under the jack's to keep their overall extension to a minimum. I don't think they would slip but maybe they would in mud.
FWIW,
