Bent Leveler Jack and Bracket

Had some heavy rain here in PA. The right rear leveler and pads sunk into the ground and shifted. This bent the jack and jack bracket. I was thinking of attaching a pulley to the opposite rail and try to pull it back in place. Not sure what the permanent fix is. Not sure how to post a picture . But the bend is pretty severe. It bent in the bay.

It does need to be put back in place and the supporting plates rewarded to the frame section. You can see where it tore the mounting plates.

Yeah those plates are torn. Need to be removed and replaced I'd think. Or at least Jack removed and then flanges of the plate repaired/welded.

This Koa in Virginia, there is a gas class a with the front wheels about 3’ off the ground. The front jacks are in shaky boards, we are half expecting their jacks to buckle. It looks as if the brackets arent very sturdy in crappy conditions. Please keep us in the loop with your repair.

I had to recalibrate the "zero point" on my Lippert Power Gear levelers because the Auto function from the factory thought the rear was too low even when manually leveled. I use a ball as a double check on the phone's Bubble Level app and it would not roll in any direction.

The recalibration procedure says to manually lower the jacks on a level surface until they just touch and then raise the coach about 3".

That told me, rightly or wrongly, that the jack's should not be carrying a lot of the load so I bought twelve of the Quality Plastic pads and now try to get it level before dropping the jacks. I just put them under the tires, not under my SnapPads.

Obviously I have no idea what happened here but I have stopped letting the Jack's extend very far, which I used to do.

Humm, in re-reading what I wrote I'm now wondering if I should in fact put an equal number of Quality Plastics pads under the jack's to keep their overall extension to a minimum. I don't think they would slip but maybe they would in mud.

FWIW,

Ray
