Blackout Package (Facebook)

I just saw the new Facebook cover photo for Dynamax. It looks like aftermarket black wheels. Is that a new option? I would add those in a heartbeat to our new order, I wasnt sold on the painted wheels, and I love the chrome accents in the cutouts.

Let me know if I need to send in more money for my order?

The chrome ones are hard to keep shiny too. It seems when the wheels are hot from driving and then they get wet, rain etc... it burns the water spots to the wheels. I have coated them with a special wax, it helps but only lasts so many trips.

Glacier Metallic white?

Halla I know what you mean with the spots it's almost like they are etched into the chrome.

McKee 37 makes a good chrome polish for the wheels, takes the water spots off. Then I used a chrome wax/polish. It does hold out for a few trips.

Black powder coated wheels, spray off with soap, wipe & be happy. We are very happy with ours, (thanks Brian). Although the machined cutout holes do look really nice.

How is the powdercoat holding up? That's my concern.

Black powder coated wheels still look like new after 11,000 miles, very happy, low maintenance.

No offense to anyone...this is just my opinion...They're nice rigs, but...just to me...it looks like something I'd see from a utility company working on a job site. Doesn't work for me.

I love the look! White, minimal decals.... EASY maintenance!! I see more and more rigs that folks either remove or order w/o the decals. Very sharp IMO.

This is a looooong story, so I will try and summarize (This came up because we did not charge for our black out package, but now we do).
1. we offered at no charge because the single color saved the mask cost and was offset by the cost of powder coating the wheels and accessories.
2. We couldn't paint the mirrors while on (chrome knuckled prevented that) so they had to be removed and reinstalled adding some cost. So we charged a little.
3. The powder coated wheels had a snafu, so we tried painting, which also was not great so now we have gone to buying wheels, which also added to the cost.

So...there is a charge for the Black out now, that is true, but that is because the costs have gone up now that we're buying wheels. We bought a set previously and that is no longer stocked, the American Racing wheel you see in the picture is the latest one and the one we would choose assuming they are in stock.
