Brake controller mounting location

Picture request...

Can someone post a picture of where the trailer brake controller is mounted in their m2 chassis.

I think it was over on the left side.. but can't remember for sure.

Thanks, I was considering that spot or the other side. I think Dynamax installs the factory controller on the other side. Pretty sure it is a prodigy p2.

If somebody has a picture of that. It would also be helpful.

There is a unit from a company called REDARC where you can hide the box and just get a little knob.. but I don't think I want to be that fancy. I like the simple box that is easy to use and see.

What made you replace it with a p3. P2 seems nice and simple. I'm about to order the p2, but was looking at the p3 also. The cost difference is minimal, I was just drawn to the simplicity and easy to read display of the p2... I know the p3 has some surge initial surge settings...

Cannot advise on M2. The last two I have installed have been on the left of the steering wheel. Vehicles these days are not friendly to right hand installations. Also, forget about reaching for the darn thing when you are about to lose control of your rig. Just set the control up so the trailer brakes lead a bit and touch vehicle’s brake pedal. If a towed vehicle is so insignificant, there will never need be a need to reach for an aftermarket brake control. It can go anywhere.

I installed one on the steering column just in front of the steering wheel on one truck I had.
