Ceiling AC/Heat vents
Before I break one, has anyone taken them down to clean?

Yes they come off easily. Remove the plugs and just unscrew the four corners.

I read on another forum that the exterior part pops off, maybe use a plastic trim tool to pry it off, screws are under it.
I have not taken mine off yet, that is on the list for this winter projects, I have two of them that need to be fixed (air vent has pulled away from the vent.

The outside ring pops off to reveal the screws holding it to the ceiling. You can use a small flat blade screwdriver to pop it off. Several of ours are hard to adjust as they were mounted too tightly to the ceiling.

I'm guessing you can get them on Amazon or from any dealer. There are a few different formats, ours have the pop-on ring to hide the fasteners.
My part number shows 55-ACG25CW (Coolvent) but I google that and some up with NOTHING. I don't know that I have ever gotten back zero results.

That's cause your part # may be slightly off.
It likely is ACG25DPW-A
Here is one of MANY links on a Googler search...

You guys are pretty good. Thank you much.
Maybe I won't break one or maybe she should clean them in the ceiling.
at least now I know where to buy them if they break.

Also, I think I goggled it with the 55...which is our plant number. We normally put 55 before the vendor part number.

The vent has a friction ball pin in the center. Try to get a thin blade between the rotating ring and the flange so you can put pressure in the center to separate the two.

I am pretty sure the ones in our Force HD are the same vents, but they are not white, they are that tan color. I cannot find a tan one from the JR products, they only list white.
