Check your roofs!

Found a crack in our brand new Isata 3 today. It's the piece of trim that joins the bunk cap to the main roof fiberglass, at the end. Looks like there was just too must stress in the area. I caulked it with some silicon, but glad I caught it. Also found two eraser sized air bubble holes in the self level. I tried to take a photo, but not sure it came out.

Mr. Clemens, what else should I do. Don't want to make another trip to the dealer - do these things get worse over time?

Thanks

If you can point to the area you're talking about I can comment...but if you're talking about the gap right at the corner, that looks like where the paint would crack at a joint.

The trim that comes over the top is really just "gimp"or screw cap. We lay sealant down, then an aluminum track over that, that gets screwed down. Then that plastic trim goes over top of the screw track, then we seal the edges of that. It's not a crack at least if what I am looking at is what I am looking at.

Ok, sounds like it is cosmetic. The rest of that piece is covered by self level on the flat part of the roof, which fueled my concern. It is so helpful to have answers from someone who knows these beasts inside and out.

I covered the void with silicon yesterday, so I will try to mark up the original photos for clarity. It looks smaller than it was, about a 3/16" gap.

Yes, I think silicone is fine there just to keep water out...but it is sealed underneath there as well. gap or indentation, not a crack, so you should be good to go.
