Cleaning fans

I love our fantastic fans however we left our coach in TX for two months with the fans set to auto. When we came back to start our trip west yuck. All three are really dirty. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

fans run and suck in dirt...

remove the screens, I use a dull knife blade to help pry them out, rinse under a water jet

Fantastic fans should have little knobs that turn to release the screens. I clean the screens and the a/c filters pretty often. Just rinse them with water and air dry

i just pulled my screens off and cleaned them. i'm going to take a damp rag and clean up the fan blades and the plastic housing. i'll use some grease cutting spray and the fan over the kitchen is a bit greasy.

Hi,

I turn on the fan and use the soft brush attachment to my vacuum cleaner. The bristles knock loose the embedded dust/dirt. What the vacuum doesn't suck in gets pulled out from the other side by the fan's airstream.

Quick and easy whenever you are doing your housekeeping.

FWIW.

The fan blade is held on by a set screw with a Allen head. Use the right size Allen wrench to remove the fan blade for cleaning. Easy
