Cleaning the floor, removing excess grout?
When we bought our DX3, there was (is) a fair amount of grout on the tile floor. Other than using a razor blade to try to scrape it off, I don't know how to remove it. Anyone have any suggestions on how to remove it?
I know if it were in a building, I'd get a huge sander but I don't know how to clean it up.
Thanks,
Mark

Dynamax says it has to be polished/buffed out, they are replacing all the heater grill vents on mine that got the epoxy grout stuck all over them...this should be done at the factory by WHOEVER is applying the grout and sealer...duh!

Used a razorblade and water on mine, took about 40 minutes. No big deal

Wondering why the grilles weren't installed after the grout was applied and dry.

They were not floor registers, but baseboard grills. Might still be a good idea to install them after grouting, but not nearly as stupid sounding as installing floor registers prior to tile grouting.

Mark,
I too had lots of excess grout scattered across my tile floor. I simply used a plastic putty knife to scrape it off and then vacuumed it up. It all came off without any residue and only minimal effort. I used a plastic tool to reduce the chance of damaging the floor tiles.
Good luck!

I used a razor blade and I don't know how Aaron got it done in 40 minutes. I've spent that much already and it's still all over the place. I think I may have more than normal.
Guess I need to suck it up and spend a few hours on my knees.

I think you're right... I'm afraid by the time I get it all off grilles, it'll look all blah...

I'm not sure what other RV's/trailers/fifth wheels you've had but compared to some of the ones I've had, if my biggest problem is excessive grout or the minor problems I've had, I'll gladly live with it.
I had a punch list of about a dozen items and to be honest, it should've all been fixed/caught during PDI at the originating dealer.
Other than those bs punch list items, the quality of my DX3 is 99% perfect.
