Question clearance lights won't turn off. isata 3

2017 isata 3 went out side this AM and all of the clearance lights are on, and I can't find a way to turn off. Have only had it a few weeks and it may be a simple issue but I don't know the answer. Any help would be appreciated.

We just bought 2017 Isata 3 also. I believe I discovered a switch over the cab shut off the clearance lights. Good Luck!

Angry clearance light switch

that switch is supposed to be for the clearance lights but did not affect this problem. Maybe this switch has failed to normally closed position.

That switch is just for the courtesy lights above each door. The clearance lights should be controlled by the Mercedes chassis lights. Shoot me your VIN and I can take a look. There was a recall out on the Curt controller...that exhibited issues just like that.

So it just started exhibiting this behavior? And you're sure the head light switch is not on fog lights or anything like that? Headlight switch in the off position?

I plugged your VIN into the recall system and it is not part of the Curt Controller recall. I have an email into the electrical engineer to see if there is any known issue.

I have tried all of the easy fixes including disconnect of battery for 30 mins to no avail. I am going to take to dealer and see if they will look at it or if they just defer me to the Dynamax dealer.

Had this problem on a fifth wheel a few yrs ago. Turned out the factory had shot a staple through the wiring. It.eventually wore through insulation and shorted the clearance lights in the on position.

HMMMM that sounds very reasonable, bet it was difficult to find though. Thanks for the heads up, I'm going to make that the first option to look into.
