damaged Screen and window lock?

Hello,

We just purchased a Dynamax REV 24RB. We took our three dogs on an overnight to our daughters house for the first time. Our biggest dog can suffer from Abandonment issues but we thought he'd be ok in the RV when we went to dinner. Well returned to find he had escaped (he never runs away just waits for us). He totally destroyed one screen w/ frame and the window over our Dinette he pushed open and ruined the locking mechanism. Where can we purchase replacement items, or best way to do this?

Are you saying that he forced that awning window open further than it was?
If so, now I am worried about leaving our dog alone in our brand new 24RB

How big is your dog?

You might be able to make your own screens with parts from a hardware store. I have done that for my house. The screens in the REV appear to be made of the same stuff (white metal painted black?. I don't know if the radius corners are available at hardware stores. Do you still have the spring clips that hold the screen in the frame?

My dog is big, part St. Bernard. Yes, he pushed that window open enough to break the lock mechanism. The one screen is demolished even the frame. The others can be rescreened as the frames are intact. Like I said, I knew he had abandonment issues, but he was with our other two dogs and we did trial runs at home and he wanted to stay in the RV, guess it was just too much for him.

Well, I am sure you still love him. 3 dogs in a REV must be real interesting.

BTW, check your refrigerator side vents to make sure the are locked and secure. One of mine fell off the day after I bought the REV and the other was partially off. They were not secured at delivery.

I have replaced the screening on the door with Pet screen from Lowes. It's tough to go thru unless they break the frame. First trip out with a new door and the dogs clawed holes in it. Now, not a hole in the screen.
