Smile Dish connection on I5 35 DB

Hello everyone! I’m curious how to hook up a dish playmaker that is a portable to my I5 . I’ve set the dish outside and connected it to the cable/sat coax in the wet bay. I turned off my king jack and put the coax from the living room tv into the back of the Wally..... and then my HDMI to the TV. I’m sure I did something wrong along the way and any help would be great ! I’m a plumber not a tech guy so I’ll be here to help with water issues!!

Note: Sorry if this has been posted already I used the search from my phone and did not see it .

The portable sat that you are trying to use is not designed for this set up (distributed coax lines)

The coax in the wet bay is for "cable TV"...not a sat signal. Those portable sat's are designed to get their power through the satellite receiver. The Winegard booster plate prevents this power from getting back to the sat.

Someone else had this same issue and I guess they now sell a power adaptor that lets you add accessory power to the dish when it is not being provided by the receiver.

So you have two options...
1. get this adaptor (and I can't help there as I was getting this information from a customer). The customer confirmed with the adaptor they had then plugged into that park cable and had sat showing on all (3) TV's.

2. Connect the cable directly to the satellite receiver.
