Still heading home from the rally. Currently in TX.
One of the bedroom drawers fails to maintain the self closing function. I can fix it by pulling the spring loaded plate forward at the end of the slide and it will hold for about a day. When it fails again the drawer will fly out.
We have same issue, now I have small ball bearings all over the floor. Going to replace the slides when we get back to SoCal. I use a big pillow wedged at the base of bed to keep them closed for now
I think they get misaligned sometimes. I installed drawers in my master closet and used those same guides as the local stores did not have the odd size I needed. Some would do the same thing and it was in most cases because the backs were to far apart and so it would not always engage.

There’s a much better brand out there that’s more heavy duty than the ones that came on my Isata 3. I have a friend who’s a retired custom cabinet maker and he turned me on to this brand.
(Side mount) Acuride full extension side mount
(Under mount) Grass.

There are better brands...the issue is not all brands make all sizes.
I am also a big fan of the King Slides...that is a heavier, more robust drawer guide. We have changed to those on the 20" and 23" for the dinette drawers because they carry more weight. They are more money, but I think more reliable. They also, so not make every size.
