DX3 Cracked Windshield

My DX3 (M2) will need to have its windshield replaced. Has anyone been down this road? Did you have Freightliner replace the windshield or an auto glass replacement company do it? Were you satisfied with the work?

Not all glass companies will replace windshields on trucks. Call around or your local Freightliner Dealer will have someone they work with to do this. I had a stone chip repaired on mine and only one company out of four would repair it because it was on a larger truck.

Your insurance company should know who to call.

On the bright side, that glass has been the same sine 2004 I think. Pretty cheap to replace.

The Freightliner M2 windshields are about $400 from Safelite, installed at your location with their mobile service.

Safelite by us has done a great job on my Ram Pickup, gone through a few windshields on the truck, they also replaced one on the Jeep JK

Only thing I can add to this conversation, Try to get OEM glass. Some aftermarket glass is thinner and can have visual waves in it.
