DX3 ISL calibration question for BC

I've noticed a 350/1150 graphic on the back of some (but not all) 2020 DX3's. Is this an option now, or is it a rolling change with all new chassis being spec'd this way?

One other question (and I hope I'm remembering these details correctly) - in the other really long thread where this re-calibration was discussed, it was mentioned that Freightliner might require an axle upgrade to spec this from the factory (hence the delta in the price we were paying vs. what they were wanting to charge you). Did this ever get clarified?

Thanks!
JT

I have a 2015 dx3 - I had this “ upgrade” done for about 600 at the cummins dealer -

Running change on the new chassis. Freightliner is no longer building it with the 1000. Just the 1150.

Brian. What about the different axle question Mookie asked?
Is the 1150 version being coupled with a different rear axle?

No...there was an axle change a while back. They changed from Meritor to Detroit or vice versa...not 100% sure but it had nothing to do with the Torque change.

Thanks for the additional clarification.

My thread title was specific to the DX3 since that's where I saw the new graphic, but, based on your reply, this will obviously impact the Force HD's as well, right?

Brian,

Can I order one of the 350/1150 graphics for the rear of my rig?

We don’t have a graphic. We just have a stencil. The 350/1150 is painted on. I’m sure you could order a stencil through parts.

Can someone post up a picture of what this looks like painted on the rear of the vehicle? I have a friend who makes graphics for race cars, trailers and such. Using the Dynamax stencil he might be able to replicate the exact look and colors into a decal.

That helps, I just cant quite make out the exact words used after 1150. This is not very complex and I should be able to replicate it without getting the stencil. Does something like this look pretty close?

If so, can someone sends me the dimensions: total width and height? Is there a standard color that would work with any paint scheme? Black? Charcoal or dark grey? Silver?

Looks good, but I think it's 'LB FT' over 'Torque' on the right side.

So something like this? If I can get the dimensions and we can settle on a "1 color fits all" (at least for now) I can get some examples made. Once we finalize it, I can figure out the unit cost for a batch. Cost would then just be that plus postage for me to mail them out.

Attachment 220172

Silver would be my choice as it will be on a dark grey metallic background

The trend now days is lb-ft. Back in the older days such as in the 60's we always used ft-lb. The new generation must have improved it. It's kind of like which is correct, 4x2 or 2x4. Same answer, but different format. I like ft-lb.
