DX3 owners... cell phone holder and general organizer?

I love my DX3 but I was wondering if anyone has come up with a solution for a basket of some sort to place below the center dash. While this could be for any brand RV, I asked DX3 owners because I also want to know if anyone came up with a great placement for their cell phone.

I originally threw my phone in the slot above the driver but it's slanted and more than once I've had my phone hit me in the head at 3am while driving.

I started putting it in the cup holder but now that the weather has gotten warmer, I find myself sliding it in-between the cupholder and the water bottle that's in there.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Mark

Look at proclip. No screws, clips to the top portion of the dash, holds phone firm.

I bought one at Walmart that works great. No cup holders, but a bunch of compartments. Stores DW and my phone, tire monitor, tissues, mints, and several other items.

I'm with Halla on this one. Take a look at the Proclip. Here ask a couple of pics of my DX3 with a Proclip and iPhone. Stable and viewable.

Same mount, same location. I have a flat usb to lightning cable that comes from the radio to the spot to plug it in.

I put the Fabrication 5 steel console in my spanking new DX3. I have mixed feelings, first it is $352.00 including shipping. The lower bins are difficult to reach into, but it does serve a purpose. I have attached a RAM Mount on the 16 gauge platform to conveniently hold my wife's and my phones. All in all I am 75% satisfied.

I don’t understand why that fabricated console for $352 seems to be so popular on this forum. Do you really need 4 cup holders for 2 people and only 2 useful compartments? Click image for larger version

Mine has many useful compartments. Bought it a couple years ago for less than $25.

I like the weight of the Fab 5 console, no moving around. I also mounted an outlet inside for the GPS. I think it is just a personal choice.

I also like that it is made in the US and we were supporting a small business. just my 2 cents.

OH the cup holders in the Fab 5 hold the drink much better, the dash cup holders seem to rattle and shake the cups more. I barely use the dash cup holders.

We installed this simple tray to hold our cell phones, wallet, and do-dads. Removed the ash tray and used the screws to mount it.

You use a different GPS than the one on your dashboard or do you use both?
We usually use the dashboard GPS and iPad as a check.

At least yours wouldn’t get in the way of my feet climbing in the drivers seat. DW doesn’t have that problem, small feet. [emoji4]

Okay, a few questions...

1) exactly what part number was the proclip? I ask because the link took me to their website but it gave me different chassis/model options.

2) what is the radio/digital display in between the 12v accessories on the freightliner one?

It is pricey for what it is but it seems like it fits well. I’m going to look around and see if I can find something but so far, I haven’t found anything I like.
Thanks!

Mark

Thank you... I won't have time to get it in so I bought some cheap bs suction cup setup to make this trip. I'll look into it when I get back.

I actually bought a cheap "organizer" from Walmart similar like that until I can find one I like. I'm not thrilled about spending 350 bucks for an organizer. If I can't find anything I like, then I'll buy one but surely I can find something else.

So you have a different head unit? I would love to have apple car play in my RV. I have it in my Jeep and love it.
