DX3 Winterization Tee-Valve Backwards

A simple visual of the Tee-Valve, it looked like it should be installed correctly. However, it was functionally backwards as I determined by blowing air thru each of the ports and observing the exit points.

Details: The Tee-Valve has 3 ports to it with a switch at the tubes intersection point.

Port #1- (Open/Closed) Depends on switch position. Connects to water tank.

Port #2*- (Open/Closed) Depends on switch position. Connects to winterization hose.

Port #3- (Always Open) NOT Dependent on Switch. Connects to water pump.

*(Note: Ports #1 & #2 cannot be open/closed at same time.)

My Port #3 was connected to Water Tank and Port #1 connected to Pump. In this configuration, antifreeze dumped into water tank vs going into pump.

Thought I would document this so factory could check to see if product using is labeled/manufactured wrong or something else is occurring during installation. Initially, thought we had a bad switch, but that was not the case.

Thanks. I am going to request that engineering (if we don't already) creates a detail on that fitting to show proper orientation. Could be just an oversite on the install...or maybe they're not being shown the proper way.

Mine was also installed backwards.
Purchased some small stainless steel worm drive hose clamps, cut off the existing clamps , turned the tee around, and it worked fine.
