Exhaust exit in isata 3

We picked up new isata 3 from the Pomona show, and during walk through, noticed exhaust had stained paint. It looked mounted to high up. “Absolutely normal” said service tech. Well today got underneath.Click image for larger version

How would I best fix? Spray undercoat all over burned up wood and fiberglass
I’m 2 hours away from dealer and handy
Don’t really trust them to fix correctly

This is JMHO I would add a nice chrome turn down exhaust tip then clean away all the burned material and seal the area good with something like undercoat like you were thinking about.

^^This^^. undercoat and chrome tip.

I saw a gen exhaust get bent while someone was backing out...caught on a curb. Bent forward and kinked so it was taking on rain. Filled the pipe and choked the gen out. Took while to find that. Best get the pipe out beyond the sidewall as well. Maybe be able to "coax" it a little further out.

I'd also go back to the dealer for some repair work under warranty, or at least to document what was incorrect. Better safe than sorry, later on trying to get something fixed.

Dealer 2hr away , I can fix. Only thing upsets me is I told dealer wasn’t right and he said they are all that way. I’ll measure diameter of pipe and get a nice looking stainless extender.
