Fluid Leaking from Dually Hub

Went out yesterday and did a walk-around in prep for our next trip tomorrow and discovered fluid had leaked from the rear dually hub. It wasn't much. I snugged up the nuts on the hub cover. Is this an immediate concern that should postpone our trip or can it wait until we get back in a week?

Looks like the flange gasket leaking. Were you able to tighten the bolts any? Clean the rim and hub really well and take it for a drive. If it is still leaking, the oil will be slung out onto the rim. Replacing the gasket is about a one hour job at any truck repair center and will costs you about $150.00. How long was it sitting? That could give you an idea of the severity of the leak. Just keep your eye on it.

Dropped it off at Freightliner. They just called. The hub covers on both sides were only torqued to 1/3 the spec!!

Yes, indeed! I'm lucky to have two good Freightliner locations about 20 minutes each from my house. One is huge and the other is smaller. I've taken my Seneca and now my Force to the smaller one. It's good when the staff knows you!
Now it's off to Maine!
