Force construction help (BClemens?)

I want to modify our love seat in our BH Force, the one right inside the entry door to the right. Can someone help me figure out how the love seat is installed? I am going to have my interior fabric people modify the front of the love seat and add a storage drawer under it.

Second question, our top bunk is coming apart, I am not sure about the installation, but need to figure out how it is supposed to be installed so I can try and fix it. My son uses the bunk and only weighs about 75lbs, so it shouldn't be a weight issue. There seems to be two pieces of covered plywood on the bottom of the bunk and the top of the bunk, the side towards the DVD player has dropped about 1/4" to 3/8". The other side of the bunk has some aluminum channel that seems to be holding it in place, but the rear side that is dropping has no aluminum.

Any help with both issues would be greatly appreciated.

It's just lagged down. I'll grab a picture and info on removing.

I'll go take a look at the bunk while I'm out there.

As for the bunk. I was just out on the line talking to the installer. It is an aluminum frame with ply, top and bottom. The aluminum C-channel and angle gets screwed in and is just to help them hold it in place. Then they screw through the bunk frame into aluminum tube that is in the outside wall. On the rear end of the bed, there is 1/2" backer in the wall. They screw through the tube into that backer. Installer says he puts 7 screws in, but he's only been here a year. If it was before his time, I wonder if they did not use as many or broke some off.

I am getting a print of the backer, but the easiest method (if the backer is tall enough) would be an aluminum angle. Screw straight through and the top of the angle would support the end of the bunk.

OK, confirmed. The Exterior sidewall has aluminum tube from 44" to 49"

The rear end wall, there is backer from 32 13/16" to 37 5/16" (Me personally I would never use 16th's in production. Wood is never that accurate and welding aluminum is probably worse).

The loveseat is pretty easy, that bottom panel should J-hook over the front tube. If you lift on the front of the sofa a bit you should see how to remove the front panel and then its just 4 lags through the bottom of the side panels of the loveseat.

Backer is here. No optional window on a bunk of course.

Ok thank you. The print is for the far end under the dvd players, showing the areas for screws?

Yes....that is from the front, looking to the back on the DVD wall.

Just want to chime in and give a kudos for Brian for being such an asset. We looked at the used Dynamax Istatas before we bought our Concord. Can't afford a new Isata. But they are obviously a quality unit not just the unit but the people that build them too!

I'll second that. Seeing all the activity here was a major factor in what got me seriously considering Dynamax. Couldn't be happier now!
