Freightliner M2 OPT Switches

Does anybody know if the OPT switch from freightliner is multiplexed? And if so where the appropriate point to feed from would be?

I was able to deduce that there's another terminal on the switch that feeds 12V but wondering if this is not the preferred way to use that switch.

Not sure if it is. I used it to turn the sideview cameras on/off. I just removed the wires that were on it, left the illumination wires on, and added my wires. No issues.

Yeah I was able to find a separate terminal that was also switched. Some digging looks like the bulkhead computer is able to handle "smart switches" through multiplex. Just wondering if there's a wire in the engine bay that was intended for use.

Probably should just turn around and walk away from this multiplexing stuff but it intrigues me

Remember curiosity killed the cat, but it is fun finding out what else the Freightliner can do.

I was told and shown last week by Dave at Hills Truck Sales in Elkhart that the Opt switch is not multiplex. End of wire is behind the battery box. Saw it on a empty chassis and there are two wires together. One is used by Dynamax for the Aux Battery supply (the ABS switch not for Brakes, is being changed by Dynamax to a battery picture) and other is not used.

If you want to know where the fuse block, fuse location, and wire pigtail termination point is for the OPT switch on the dash, You can go to my earlier post that has photos and instructions when I located it earlier this year.
