Fresh Water Tank Issue
I am out on a Fourth of July weekend and have full hook ups. My water valve is set to city and over the last couple of days my fresh water in the tank is filling even though I am not in the tank position the other day it filled so much the over flow was leaking. Again today it went from 1/3 full to 2/3 with out leaving the city position. Any help with this is appreciated.

The check valve on your water pump is not seated properly. To begin, your water pump should always be turned off when on city water.
1) Turn off city water at the faucet.
2) Turn on water pump.
3) Turn faucets in your camper on and off several times to run the pump on and off.
4) Turn off pump and turn city water back on again.
Sometimes doing this several times will cause the check valve to reseat properly and stop filling the fresh water tank.
Good luck and happy 4rth!

If it is a "Kantleak" by Anderson, there's a good chance the o rings inside the valve are cut or worn. Easy to replace with a replacement kit off Amazon. Others have had problems with the check valve in the water pump leaking and allowing backflow to the tank, as I recall.

It helps diagnosing problems if you put the year, make, model, and or floor plan on your signature line.

It also helps to try the "search" function. It appears that this question gets asked two or three times a week.

fresh water tank leak
We had this problem too. Our service tech at DeMartini told us that the valve handle for tank fill and city water should only be turned counterclockwise. When he was diagnosing it, he couldn't get it to repeat because he rotated valve handle counterclockwise a full rotation. He says that this often resets the valve gasket. He also said not to turn on the water pump when on city water. Try it.

Stopped fresh water tank from filling!
After fighting this issue for two years, I just bought a 1/2" pex check valve from Home Depot and installed it on the water input line to the pump. Problem is permanently fixed! I traveled all spring without a reoccurrence! Use a skark bite check valve and all you do is cut the water line and push on! Arrow towards pump!

Excessively high city water pressure will overcome a perfectly good check valve in the pump as well.
Make sure you are using a quality city water pressure regulator.
