Delco Bobby, this feature is only on "Multiplex" wired units. Dynaquest XL, Isata 5 series and soon to be Isata 4 series. REV did not have this, but we are looking to expand it to other lines as we have time.

Multiplex is an automotive wiring system that uses communication lines (think ethernet cables) to tell stuff to turn on and off (as opposed to power to a switch, then to the device). In multiplex, we send power to the device and then a thin communication line from the switch to the devices. Nice thing, is this communication line is daisy chained. No need to run from device to switch, device to switch, etc. Just one communication line carries all the data.

It is more expensive to do this...but you save some some dough on wiring and labor (once you have it dialed in). The major benefit is a smart wiring system that can tell you where you have an issues. (IE, cycle through a screen to tell you which fuse is out). Also, you have a touch screen that takes up less space than a normal control panel and for future builds, the ability to download an app to control everything from your phone.

The fact the fuse was labeled wrong, tells me we just need to double check the software.

Yes, I didn't expect this to be in my REV although the REV has many nice features.

I am aware of multiplex but did not realize the extent of its capabilities especially with the fault finding.

If you are not doing so already I suggest that the fuses and screen be placed near eye level because many of us have extreme difficulty when they are just off the floor.

eye level takes way from something else that might get used more frequently. the goal is not to have to use it at all.

OK, that makes sense as usual. Especially on a smaller motorhome. And your goal is right on.

The problem is that many, myself included, have great difficulty getting down on the floor and then up again. I never had to do that on my REV and only once on my Sunseeker but the apprehension lingers.

Maybe as these systems develop the TV could be used as the screen when technology allows it. Or a phone app using bluetooth. Pretty soon you will be in the business of building computers with wheels and a bed, etc. ha ha.

With the new multiplex app, you should be able to use your phone screen to diagnose some of this stuff. Does't mean you won't need to get down there to replace something, but at least you can do most of the troubleshooting from the couch.
