Furniture weight in DX3 Slide out.

I have a 2015 DX3 and was wondering, short of me taking everything out and weighing it, does anyone know how much the furniture weighs in the front slide out? I'm considering replacing all of it with something different. Maybe someone has already made replacements and could give me an idea.

Don't have exact numbers but here is my guesstimate from when I removed one dinette seat and the trifold sofa to install a pair of powered theater seats. Dinette seat 40#s, trifold 70#s. New theater seats probably 140#s.


Have not read any limit for weights in slide out but you theoretically could have 4 people around the dinette table and 2 in the trifold sofa and with the weight of some of us that could be a good bit of weight. So, unless you plan on installing concrete benches, I don't think you will have a weight issue.


Brian will probably chime in on this one. Would be interesting to really know of any weight limit.

They are. On second thought, I would have gotten a little bit shorter set. I removed the trifold because trying to sit in it for any length time was torture. Also needed a spot for the kennel for our young German Shepherd Dog so had to remove dinette seat. Would have to have removed it regardless of the length of the recliners but would have a bit more room to sit at the back dinette seat if they were a bit shorter. Had to relocate table for added clearance for the cage.


Once that stuff was removed there were a bunch of wires and holes in the wall that need to be covered up. Was going to build a bulk head to hide stuff but never got a round to it. Probably won't now because we'll probably be selling it sooner than later. Some health problems keep us from utilizing it much.
