GFCI circuit breaker keeps tripping

BC, I've been having GFCI problems. That GFCI circuit breaker keeps tripping and my dealer can't replicate the problem. Most recently I've been running the Genset and doing some testing of my new TV install. Nothing plugged in except all the stuff that came with the coach and a hand held vacuum cleaner. And it's probably tripped 3 out of 4 times I've powered up. Is it perhaps tripping when the Genset levels out and begins to supply AC power? When in storage I always turn off the master power switch, but that should have nothing to do with tripping a GFCI. Seems abnormal to me. Trouble shooting ideas?

Happening only on Gen power? GFI breakers/outlets seem to be sensitive to inductive loads, but this is not your case. I would check the connections at the GFI outlet, after that replace the GFI.

Not a GFCI outlet. GFCI Breaker at the box. So I don't know what's tripping it. But I suspect the switching from batt to Gen or turning off the batt cutoff switch...

so help us understand...

are all your outlets GFCI protected by this breaker box mounted unit or just some of them?

Is your genset a built-in part of rig or a separate unit?

In order to help you, we need the exact details. Are you pluged in using your shore power cord directly? Are you plugged into a GFI circuit shore power? Find out exactly which outlets go out. They should only be outlets within 6' of
ANY WATER Supply.

Swap out the breaker for a new one. Could be a bad GFI.

A bad breaker or a bad GFCI?

All 110 outlets go out, no power to them.
GFCI is a breaker not an outlet.
No water supply involved.
On gen only lately not sure about shore power. Genset is built in.
I think I'll take Scotts and Mr. Dans advice, pull the circuit breaker and see if that fixes it. If it's expensive I'll see if Dynamax will pay for it under warranty via my dealer.

Under 50 bucks at Lowes or HD. Keep the receipt and return it if thats not the problem.

I agree 100%. I had the identical problem in my house recently. Just replaced the breaker and all is well.

Batt DISCONNECT switch will have absolutely no effect on GFI Battery is 12 volt GFI is 120 volt. 2 entirely separate systems.

Are you waiting for the generator to stabilize before trying to use outlets? I wait for the microwave to light up and beep before using anything electrical.

If the dealer cannot replicate the problem, then it might not be your rig.

To repeat what someone else asked... what are you plugging into when you're having the problems?

Did you add a new receptical for the new tv or was it theere from the factory? Also , did you mount a new tv wall bracket for the tv. Could the screws be to long and got into the wiring?

My first thought is why are all your AC outlets on one GFCI breaker? GFCI outlets/breakers don't handle high draw surges well. Such as a appliance or something with a motor (hairdryer) kicking on. GFCI is only required on outlets that might be exposed to moisture (exterior/bath/kitchen). One option would be to replace with a standard breaker and replace only the required outlets with GFCI outlets.

I didn’t build it, I’m just the consumer.

No new wiring. Probably a bad circuit breaker. I’m going to replace it next week and then we’ll know.

Nothing that wasn’t already plugged in. It doesn’t trip because I’ve plugged in something it’s tripping when the motor home converts from battery to AC.
