HELP! Electrical Panel & Water Pump Stopped Working

This morning we drove to the Grand Canyon, our first trip after warranty work on our slides. We have electric and sewer only because it’s been getting cold at night. We filled our tank, made dinner and did the dishes. A couple hours later, our pump stopped working and the electrical control panel display is not lighting up. We can’t even tell how full our fresh, black & grey tanks are, how much propane we have or if our batteries are charged.

Could our batteries be dead? Would dead batteries cause this? We had mixed reviews about our batteries and had them bench tested and we were told they were good. Not we’re not sure.

Thanks for any assistance!

What, if any other 12 volt items are working? I.e. Lights? Skip

Since your lights are working, they are 12 volt and run off battery. Would start looking at your fuses and see if any are blowen. Skip

I can't tell looking at your solar charger if the light on the far right (looks gray) under what looks like a week battery symbol is actually lit or is that just the color of the diode without power? Also appears to be reading 13.6v which would indicate the battery is not dead (if that is reading accurately or IS a battery condition reading, not a charge reading from your solar panels).

With so many things off but other 12v items working fine, I'm betting on the fuse.

Nothing is lit, so that is jut the color of the diode without power. We looked at fuses inside the coach (under refrigerator) and everything looked fine. Will look again this morning. It was late and dark when we noticed this. Is there another fuse box somewhere?

Hello,

I bet there is a small breaker that might need to be reset. Usually near battery DC distribution. Look on the side of each breaker for a small button,

This is what our solar control panel looked like this morning when the sun came up. Last night it showed 13.5 volts but no lights on the panel.

None of the other lights are lit for tanks, propane or battery and my water pump is still not working. Will check out fuses and breakers more thoroughly now that it’s light out. Thank goodness this park has bathrooms and showers!!!!

Look for the circuit breaker B and B listed. It cuts almost all 12 volt power. Easy to reset.

Check fuses first as that is simple. Then you can see if the coach battery disconnect will help (assuming it is on?)

Do all other switches on the control panel work? If everything on the panel is dead likely a lead or fuse somewhere.

I wonder if when working on your slides they pulled the switch panel to check voltage at the switch. When doing so some other leads may have become loose in there as they hung the panel. They were connected but were loose and that's when things went wrong? 10ish screws to check it out if fuses gets you no where.

The step switch and awning works. Porch light does not work. Water pump and water heater does not work. Battery, water tanks and propane lights do not work. Solar control panel works.

I’m thinking the mechanic working in the slide removed the slide adjustment panel, and the slides work now.

Where is the battery DC distribution? Is this where the house batteries are?

Where would I find circuit breaker B and B listed?

All 12 volt power is working. It’s the water pump (our tank was full when we set up camp last night), the porch light, TV and control panel lights that are not working.

Are you working with a volt meter?? Can't guess at this stuff. Check the fuse at the water pump. It is inline near the pump. Check all your 12 volt fuses with a volt meter.

Don’t have a volt meter. Now on my list to buy!

Hmmmm...I think it is because we can watch it when we’re dry camping.

The one in the front does not work, but the one in the bedroom does.

But I thought you said you had an electric hookup?

Do you know if your converter is powered up and working? It is the device that converts 120v AC to 12v DC. Battery condition is somewhat out of the puzzle if you have shore power.

Are you plugged into shore power?
