You are correct, and that you are going thru two regulators, which produces too low a pressure on these type of grills.
The sidekick type grills that are designed to be used off of your RV's regulated grill connection, do NOT have a built in regulator in the grill....so the propane is only being regulated by the RV's regulator.
Your Weber grill and basically all the other similar type grills have a built in regulator for the grill, that regulates the pressure down when connecting to a propane cylinder or bottle.
As others have already shown you:
1. You can remove the grills built in regulator and use it with your RV's low pressure grill hose (but you will need to add it back if you want to use same grill with a propane cylinder/bottle for other things when not at your RV)
2. You add a T fitting in at your RV's propane cylinders (before the regulator) and run a hose off it to your Weber with no modifications necessary. Then your grills regulator will do it's intended function.
We have many members here who do either 1 or 2, depending on their needs.
