I avoid truck stops altogether because of biodiesel and the outrageous prices they charge for their substandard fuel. Even when I had my 40’ pusher with a 24’ trailer I could usually find a regular gas station that I could get in and out of without issue.

Depends on where you live and where you buy diesel...if you've never tried Power Service you can tell the difference in power and a boost in economy, not earth shaking, but a noticeable improvement...

Went for years without any issues as well since 1994, but got a bad slug of diesel in 2017 out of some new tanks that weren't properly cleaned and the fun began, change of filters added biocide and no further issues...

Can't blame the "If it ain't broke don't fix it" thought process either, nothing wrong with that...

You aren't really taking anything you read on a forum seriously are you?

Let's just say when you guys are talking about something I know nothing about, i pay a little more attention. I helped a semi driver change an alternator in our church parking lot a couple years back (he was delivering pumpkins for our pumpkin patch); and that is the extent of my diesel knowledge. I never heard of DEF until i joined this forum.
You guys are awesome, enjoy the camping and keep sharing.

I've two diesel tractors, a diesel lawnmower, a diesel truck, a diesel RV and I've only had a problem once in all these years. I do treat all the diesel in storage, especially during winter when the usage and turnover is low. I always treat the fuel tank(s) of the RV when I get it home after a trip and it is not going to be used for a while. One bad experience will ensure that you take precautions.

I also got water in the diesel once. That caused a mess too.
