Isata 3 24FW Shower Head
Has anyone had experience with replacing the shower head? I am currently on a trip and discovered the shower head leaking. When I use the head shut off, it sprays pretty good. I really don’t want to take this in for warranty repair. If I can replace it myself, I would like to. Any advice is very much appreciated.

The piece above your arrow unscrews and stays with the hose; everything below the arrow comes off.
It's super simple to deal with.

There are (2) possibilities.
1. The washer is missing from inside that connection. It is really only hand tight...doesn;t need replaced.
2. I have seen this before...there is actually a direction for that flex hose. I can't remember which, but there is a smooth end and a ridged end. If it is backwards, it WILL leak. I had dealers trying to send them back for warranty...and there is never any reason to replace these shower heads, there is just nothing to break. Once I dug into it...all they had to do was reverse the flex hose. (I will say, when this happens, they normally leak pretty dark good...so if its a small leak it is likely a rubber washer)

Nevermind...it looks like the smoother end connects to the shower head. So that should be good. Grooved to the faucet.

So I'll say "missing washer" final answer.

Thanks! I will attempt to take it apart. It has been working fo nine months and now, like you stated, the leak sprays pretty hard. Thanks for the diagram.

Well then...it might not be a missing washer. If it was working without leaking for 9 months. ..that seems weird. maybe the O-ring dried out? or it just needs tightened.

The washer is there and looks pretty new. Took it out and flipped it and tested. Same result. I will try and find a new washer.

And its leaking from there when you pause it? Just an FYI...the Oxygenics does not "shut off" 100%/ It does dribble the water (they had a reason for this...something to do with water heater and mixing water). So a little will still come out of the end...are you sure its not dribbling down onto that fitting and looks like it is coming out there?

It does dribble when it’s in use. It has always dribbled. When I pause it, it sprays out from that fitting pretty hard. It didn’t do that before.

You could always put Teflon tape around the shower head threads...

That might not help...

That might not help if it's leaking alongside the hose and not bypassing the threads.
Might need a thicker washer, or two of the current thickness.

Thank you for all the replies. It now squirts from two spots. I will try another washer. If that doesn’t work, I may swap out for a different head as long as it fits in the mounted holder. Very frustrating!
