Isata 3 Black tank flush
We have a 2017 and I am having trouble with the black tank flush. Hook the hose up, turn the water on and nothing. When I turn the water off and remove the hose a blast of air comes out. I fished around through the opening but nothing blocking it there.
I think it might be on the other end and I really don't want to remove the business end of the flush line. Anybody have any ideas?

Before you take things apart get some strong tank cleaner there may be matter dried on the nozzle end of the flush and the tank cleaner may remove it. just a thought.

Yes, the tank was open. I thought there may be something stuck but it's been like that since day one.

If its an FW, the check valve is installed backwards. It's only that stupid floor plan (sorry). When they run the lines, the feed over from under the floor. When they rough plumb that, they stub up the two lines. Well, I don't think they mean to, but one is longer than the other by chance...when someone then installs the check valve those stub line lengths fit the valve. So instead of checking which line is which and cutting as needed, they use the taller one as the outlet...when it may in fact be coming from the outside connection.
Swap the two lines and you're in business. Problem is they are crimped connections.
So you could just cut the line and installed barbed fittings...but cut them opposite lengths of what they are now. (if you are looking to save a dealer trip).

I agree. I don't think anyone wants to make a dealer trip if they don't have
too. I know I don't.

Thanks Brian, I was counting on you to see my post. I'll take a look at it and see what it looks like. I'm guessing the connections are under the bed, right?

As far as dealing with the PEX withuot a crimper you might also want to check out the shark bite fittings. I haven't actually used any yet but through research they've gotten amazing reviews for their performance and simplicity. Fittings are more expensive but the tradeoff is not needing all the tools for crimping. I keep a couple for splicing handy in case I need them in a pinch.

Would need to figure the threads on the valve, but I think this would be your fitting

I think in his first post, he mentions that it has never worked.

It never worked so most likely, it is installed backwards. I'm going to take it apart next month and check it out. I have a plumber friend that has a crisper, so I will have to schedule the fix around him.

Common problem, easy fix... it's reversed as suggested.

We just got ours early feb and that same problem along others were and are being resolved. We fixed our own black tank flush issue. It turns out they installed check valve backwards. Being handy I took the time to diagnose and fix vs taking to dealer and leaving there for God knows how long. In hindsight, we should have had dealer do the work, since it is there for other issues any ways.

Is this only on the FW or can it happen to the BH? My tank flush wasn't working the first and only time I tried it. Is it under the vanity floor?
Thanks

I'll have to check on that one. I've only ever seen the problem on the FW.
