Isata 3 FW dinette question

We have the dinette with wrap around cushion at the back and corner cup holders. (We have all the modifications that bclemens wrote about in another post - sink, shower, etc just not the newer dinette) anyway, the table is about 2" from the side wall. Things easily slide off the back of the table and onto the floor. Our question is, is this the way it was supposed to be designed? The table base attaches in the center of the table. Since we don't want holes in the floor by moving the entire base on the floor, we're left with moving the base where it attaches to the table. It will be off-centered, but we're hoping it will remain stable. Anyone else run into this?

Not the way ours is, could you have put the table top on backwards?

Square corners to wall, rounded to living area.

Are you talking about things sliding off while moving? We found out after leaving our first parking lot that nothing could be left on any flat surface.
We have the new style and there is 1 inch of clearance.

We keep the table empty while moving. But while sitting, spreading out maps, paper, etc. I find pens, keys, small items are easily pushed off the back and onto the floor.
Yes, the squared end is toward the side wall and sits out about 2". Rounded end toward the middle of coach. I'll try to post a picture.

The fix has been made. Moved the base support on the table bottom. It seems stable.

Not sure why they did that...I do recall seeing it and saying something. I think they were trying to make it easier to set?
