Brian, could you give a bit of advice on how to remove the face plate.
You can buy a plastic trim tool kit at a Harbor Freight for just a few bucks. It'll come with 4 or 5 pry tools that will not mar anything, very handy and cheap and just the ticket for this project.

Brian, mine is doing the same. Leaving Christmas day for Florida and won't be back to my dealer until spring. Since it is not a functional part it can wait I just wanted to get it documented here.
I would send an email to your service rep with a picture. That way it get properly documented in the system.
