Isata 3 Heated Tanks

Hopefully a silly question, but I'll ask anyway. I'm currently traveling in freezing weather and have the tank heaters on. If I empty the gray and black tanks and leave the heaters on for the benefit of the water we keep in the fresh tank, will the empty tanks be damaged?

How is that trip home to Oregon going? Certainly sounds like an adventure. Almost sounds like you may be in the Dakotas or Wyoming? Please keep us informed on your maiden journey.

Maybe I'm crazy, but some switches are up for on and some are down like the entry light - gets confusing with no on/off labels or indicator lights. Especially for something you can't see like the heaters.

Pull the switch use your meter to find out which side is power and position the switch accordingly to your preference

Yes, I agree. I am working a show in Sidney, BC. Switches were a little off. I already emailed the production manager. UP is on, Down is off. Should be wired that way, should be inspected to make sure it is that way.

It would be helpful and a user friendly feature to have LED lights indicating power on or labels. Assuming you don't have a reason for doing so.

At some point, when we find the time, we'll go back-lit LED and multi-Plex.

Finally have internet again! We have 2600 miles on the odometer. Benz runs smooth and strong. We got 15.5 mpg today running 67-68 with a tail wind (finally) been lots of cross winds, up to 50 mph one day. We're averaging 13.7 for the trip so far. Started in Grand Rapids Michigan, down to Elkhart for a factory tour, spent the night at Dynamax. Hit I-80 through Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska and on to I-76 and I-70 through Colorado and into Utah. Visited Arches National Park and on south through Monument Valley. Looped down into Arizona a little way and back up north to Bryce National Park today. Now camping near Provo. Upper 70's here! We've boondocked, had full hookups and partially hookups. The low to mid 20's early on is behind us we hope. Only problem we had with the tanks was a frozen black tank dump valve one morning. It's working fine now. I've had the same on/off issues with the switches, but can straighten that out once we're home. I just reached under and put my hand on the heating pad to see if it was warm. Yup, up is on for that one.

In our Isata 3 the entry lights have no set off/on position as the same lights are used with a switch to light the galley area.

Just like a switch on top and bottom of dirt house stairs with either controlling , the switch position will change.

So jealous! Sounds like an awesome trip so far!

Looking forward to heading out on my first trip of the year next week. Only a long weekend though
