Part of the fix for my solara was to put marine grade silicone around all of the running lights to seal up.

If Brandon has already reached out (or Dan), work through them to make sure we get a dealer on it.

New find today, self service car wash for RVs. Plenty large to get completely around my Isata 3. It was $7 for the time needed for a thorough cleaning to get it bug free. Great deal compared to truck washes.

Guess everything is bigger in Texas

Ok, got a call from Dynamax who said they'd set up an appointment for me at DDRV this week but never heard back from anyone...

Hello?
Let me know if I should try to make the appointment myself.
It probably won't rain again until October, but I still need to get this fixed...

For sure I would try and set up an appointment if you have not already. The dealer should always be the first point of contact and then the service rep on our end if the dealer is being difficult.

Ok well I got a call from you guys in Indiana and he said he'd call DDRV to set up the appointment and make clear how important this matter is to avoid Lemon Law stuff, and then he said he'd call me back. No word.
What do you guys want me to do? If I call them they'll tell me to bring it in in 3 months when they might be able to glance at it.

I'll see what I can find out. Sometimes when we get in the middle it complicates things. So, maybe we did set an appt, and the dealer assumed we would call and we assume the dealer would call. Either way, there should have been a call back to clarify, I'll find out why there wasn't.

Did you call Dillons after they fixed it and the fix was unsatisfactory to see if they would take it right back in?

I didn't.
DDRV has this attitude of "well, we might have a spot available in 3-4 weeks" and so I was hoping you guys calling would put my issue on top.
I'll wait to hear back from you.
Thanks.

First things first, you'll need to contact the dealer, let them know the scenario, see what they say, (if they haven't reached out already). We don't make appointments for customers...or shouldn't be as we have no way to know your schedule and timing.

I did talk to my rep and he said you requested that we contact DDRV rather than him, so we obliged, but that was a mistake on our end. We can contact DDRV to expedite, move up, grease the wheels...but ultimately its your schedule they need to work around and us in the middle just complicates things.

They contacted me and bent over backwards to accommodate me.
Amazing what a call from one of their major manufacturers will do!
I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks.

So NOW they are telling me the cap lights are loose and unsealed.
I told them you guys mentioned that the FIRST time it was in the shop for the inside waterfall problem. Did they listen? Nope.
The level of rank incompetence in the RV service industry is not to be underestimated.
Should be fixed by the end of this week, fingers crossed.

So DDRV has had my RV for over a week. According to them they keep finding more leaks.
Either they are covering up that they are taking forever to do the job, or Dynamax really has built an RV with that many leaks? Either way I'm guessing they will be sending a large warranty bill.
*frustrated*

Not to us...we paid them once to fix whatever it was and they failed. This will likely be on them.

Ok, finally got the RV back.
They had to do 4 separate tests to finally fix all the leaks. According to them they had to:
Seal running lights, roof top molding, side molding, gaps were found in the rain gutter and screws were not sealed correctly, as well as the molding gutter.
To hear the tech describe it the RV was not well put together from a weatherproofing perspective. But maybe they're just blaming Dynamax for something they weren't able to find the first time.
Since it never rains here, I guess I'll have to wait until about October to see if it's fixed...

Update on Levelers

We've now tested the Isata in all hook-up and dry conditions. We love it even more than we thought we would. The shower is preferred over those at the State Parks, as is the toilet. We came up with a fix for the too-short-bed (not Dynamax's fault). I'm 6'6" and the bed is a few inches short. However, the two side cushions from the front bunk fit perfectly (both height and depth) when flipped on end and stuffed between the bed and the bathroom wall. Problem solved!! If this was intentional, hats off!

We're still working the levelers. The dealer says (on second look) that they are working properly, so I'll test them again (haven't gone out since latest fix). They reset the null point again. Also, a few times the front levelers jacked the coach so high the front wheels are off the ground. Very unnerving, but the counter lady said this is normal and that we could walk inside with both wheels up. Really? The manual says not to use the levelers to change a tire, but there is obviously enough height in the legs to do so. Please advise officially.

We're thinking of selling the house and living full time in the Isata - it's that awesome. I see lots of them in the Bend-area campgrounds. Thanks!!

yeah, yeah, of course it was

As for levers. If there is a downward slope...it is possible the jacks would need to raise the wheels off the ground, but please make sure you put something under them...and chock a pair.

While it is unusual for the jacks to raise the wheels...there are some situations where it might happen. But if it is doing it on a fairly level site...then something is amiss.

Almost always we have to adjust the jacks manually a little, even after resetting the level set multiple times. It comes close, but mostly a downslope towards the front (I use a can of soda and see if it rolls either left to right or front to back to check the floor).
And since 99% of sites are back in, and 99% of those slope down to drain water, we almost always have the front wheels off the ground just a little bit.

This may have been answered already, but I can't find it...

What's the weight limit on the overhead bunk?
