I’ve never had an rv charging my toad. I have left my toad connected for 3 days without starting it and no problem.
With the Brakebuddy an external charger would be good to have as it operates off the toad’s electrical. Over the years that I’ve used the Brakebuddy I had to jump start my toad a couple of times.
Today’s vehicle has more protection for the starting system with auto shutoff for non essential systems.

What are you towing it with? If it’s a DX3 you may not notice the difference but if it’s an Isata 3 you would definitely notice the difference. Either way it required by law in many states. I don’t know the weight of your Wrangler but I’m sure it’s more than 1,500 lbs.
