Isata 3 Toilet

We picked up our 2018 Isata 3 last Friday. Before our maiden voyage yesterday, I filled the fresh water tank and check the sinks and toilet. To my disappointment, the toilet flap did not work during flush. We set out on our trip and setup. I spoke with a dealer technician by phone who guessed the flap linkage was broken. I have inspected underneath the toilet, but I am guessing this is an internal part. Unfortunately this time of year everyone is booked for service and we have quite a few trips planned. Any suggestions for a quick fix is appreciated.

So when you depress the pedal it does not pull the ball valve back?

PS. DO you have an RW or an FW? They are two different toilets.

Well, here is both, just in case.

24RW gets the Tecma
24FW gets the regular Thetford Gravity, should be able to pull the cover and see if there is a pin or something missing.

You should be able to see the linkage pretty easily there.

Have an Isata 3 with the Tecma toilet. Does anybody have an idea how much water is consumed when flushing. Seems like a lot compared to the standard gravity type.

I had not heard of this toilet until this post. I googled it and according to the manual you can set the amount of water for each flush.

But to be honest it was much to complex of a toilet for me. I think I would be replacing that with a Dometic 320 as soon as possible.

Can't always replace with a Dometic 320. most people use the Thetford for one of two reasons...
1. (main reason) the toilet is NOT over the back tank and there is no way to feed the tank in the vertical space that we have. So you have to use the Tecma so that you can pump it over where you need it.

2. Some people like that it is a full on porcelain toilet with a residential feel

The Tecma toilet is nice and flushes well. You can control the amount of water that is left in the bowl, put not the time for the power flush. This is not a gravity flush toilet.
