Isata 3 towing trailer

Okay Isata 3 owners. Before I jump off this cliff, tell me about the landing. I plan on buying a 14’ all aluminum tandem axle utility trailer to pul behind my Isata 3. A single axle weighs 700 lbs but with a 12’ UTV, I am concerned that there would not be enough room for changing weight distribution and tongue weight could be much higher than on a tandem. A Forest River tandem weighs about 1100 but you have less tongue weight. The idea is to put the UTV, , kayaks , spare tire and bicycles. On the trailer. Total weight of trailer and load will be 2500, well below rv/trailer combined weight maximum. Is this a good idea or am I on the precipice of a disaster.

Thanks

I would go with a tandem and keep the tongue weight down. With no more than a 1,000 lbs of CCC, you need to keep tongue weight at a minimum.

Milkman55 makes a good point. Remember the tongue weight comes off your CCC, but you still need somewhere around 10% of the trailer weigh on the tongue.

You might check to see if you have 250 lbs of CCC to spare.
